Some students have trouble thinking of what to write about. Describe what you like or do to someone who knows nothing at all about it. Here's a few examples:

For girls who like to shop:


Where do you shop, which mall, and why;
Which stores? Why those stores?

What do you shop for? Which brand of clothes, shoes, etc?

Why do you like that brand(s)? Why is it better than the other brands?

or - sports:

Which sport do you play or watch ? Why do you like that sport? Who is your favorite player, what position do they play, describe the position in detail? Why is he/she your favorite? What does he/she do that makes them special?

Which team is your favorite, why? in detail?, how many championships have they won?

or Video games:

Which games, describe the plot in detail, why do you like that game, what's so goog about it? Which platform to you play it on? Describe it, what's so good about it, bad about it?

How to use text boxes in a flyer

 

For a good flyer and a good grade:

  1. Use some Word Art (for the main title, NOT for the whole page)
  2. DO NOT use Times New Roman font  USE “Elephant”, “Broadway”, Goudy Stout, and other similar fonts are good choices, do not use Times New Roman
  3. Use only ONE font
  4. Use a graphic that relates to the topic
  5. Use some “white space”
  6. Use some alignment NOT all centered
  7. Use some text boxes; (some without the borders, you don’t want it to look too “boxy” )
